Synaptonemal complex analysis of a 58,XY, t(1;29), t(9;23) bull showed the presence of two separated trivalent figures, and the absence of association of these trivalents with the sex vesicle. The results of this study confirm that in bulls carrying Robertsonian translocations, there is no abnormal" behaviour of synaptonemal complexes at pachytene.
